Agricultural trade, handled like a contract
Kalvermesterij de Broekeld B.V. buys and sells agricultural commodities and dairy cattle for business customers. Our customers are importers, distributors, bottlers, food and feed manufacturers, and farms building a herd. They buy from us because we make the transaction predictable. The specification is agreed before anything is loaded, the goods are checked against it, and every document the destination requires travels with the shipment. We sell only to businesses, and every sale is made under written contract terms.
Close to the producers, and to the port
We buy from refineries, crushers, processors, packers and farms we have qualified ourselves. We check their certifications, quality systems and export records before we offer their goods. Fresh potatoes and onions come straight from Dutch growers and packers. Oils, oilseeds, grains and nuts come from the origins where they grow best, and Holstein cattle from Dutch dairy herds. Where a buyer needs a specific origin, variety or certification, we source to that requirement rather than to what happens to be in stock.
Say it in writing
Grade, quantity, packaging, price, Incoterms, delivery window and payment method are set out in the offer and the contract before shipment.
Payment against documents
We work with documentary letters of credit, documentary collections and bank transfer against shipping documents, methods that protect both sides.
Verifiable quality
Certificates of analysis come from accredited laboratories, and independent inspection at loading is available on every contract.
Welfare and sustainability
Livestock travels under EU animal welfare rules. Palm oil can be RSPO certified, and EU shipments are documented for deforestation due diligence.
Based in Netherlands, trading worldwide
Our office is at De Broekeld 37, 3888 NC Uddel, Netherlands, 3888 NC Uddel, Netherlands. From there it is a short drive to the ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp and to the dairy regions where our cattle are bred. Enquiries, contracts, order processing, invoicing and export support are handled by Kelsey van Asselt, so you deal with one person from first question to final document.
